Minutes from Sept 2009 Meeting

Friday September 18th Meeting 9:00am meeting was held at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa, in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico in Eagle Room A.

Minutes are as follows

Sonoco Safety Presentation by Steve Heimbrook, a through safety presentation emphasizing process & procedures, in order to greatly improve plant safety.

AMCLO Announcement of new products available in both metal & plastic ends

Association Elections
Diane Higdon & Anthony Paterson, both stepped down leaving two (2) openings.
Marshall Hutcheson nominated Bill Sowell
Diane Higdon nominated James Baker

There being no other nominations, a vote was called for and both were elected unanimously

Nominations were then raised for Board President
Marshall Hutcheson nominated Bill Sowell

Employee Handbook, a sample of this new publication for ICA members was handed out to all present (I will mail a sample to all those members that weren’t present).

This new book is available with customization and is an important part of employer’s process. Much of what was covered by the Sonoco presentation is in the handbook; so it was perused and the cost structure was gone over, these books are affordable handouts to your employees, for further information. Contact your ICA director (Mark Beaman)

Old & New Business was raised and group insurance was raised.

Old Business
Some time ago we passed around a survey to establish a group insurance policy but failed to get an adequate response. Discussion ensued and the consensus was that member interest was higher at this time and it should be looked at again.

As of this writing, a new survey has been sent to members via email and any program offered would be contingent on members replying to the survey in numbers great enough to make a program viable.
